BIM моделирование



The construction is generally a very complex matter. The standard construction project involves a relatively large number of participants. Investor, developer, architect, designer, structural engineer, authorities, user, administration and many others. To harmonize their diverse, often contradictory, demands, is a difficult task. Furthermore, there are factors like high costs and long duration of such projectsthat cause that complexity risesexponentially. From this point of view, unconcerned people may have an impression that there areseveral projects that are not carried out within the estimated costs and deadlines or even at all. It goes without saying that it is not natural, as evidenced by severalsuccessfully implemented projects, in which architectural-engineer company HESCON s.r.o. participated.



What is the decisive factor for a project to be successful? There are obviously more factorsbut planning and management have a significant impact. The essential is to have quality project documentation without collisions that would endanger deadlines and increase costs. Relevant reports and records also need to be available in order to estimate costs and know how to schedule them overtime. Last but not least, we need to respond flexibly to changes in environment and risks. BIM - Building Information Modelling is an irreplaceableaid in this process.


BIM is more than just a software for designers – it is a tool to help ensure that the right peoplein the design, construction and its usage get the right information at the right time. While designing in BIM, there is a virtual 3D construction model, unlike classical methods, where all the elements that will really be present at the physical construction are modelled according to the selected details. The following attributes belong to these elements- characteristics that individual construction elementsmust meet. Such properties include material type, fire resistance, static properties, heat-technical values, etc. The amount and type of properties found in the model is determined by SNIM - The Standard of Non-Graphical 3D Model Information.



This is not wherethe list of positives of BIMmethod ends, quite the contrary. We have already indicated in the introductionthat a lot of participants are involved in the project and there are complex relationships among them. The neuralgic point of these relationships is a communication, as in any other relationship after all. Since BIM is creating a lot of data indeed, the need for effective communication is even more important. Thus, there is a common data environment (CDE, e.g. BIM +, BIM Cloud, BIM 360) creatingaspace for collecting, managing and sharing of 3D model, 2D documentation, and other information for the entire project team. This ensures that designers, constructor, investors have always available the most up-to-date necessary documents at one place.

So why do not all designers use BIM, if it has onlyadvantages? First of all, it deals with achange of thinking throughout the whole process starting from design up to construction and its usage. This change is the longest one, consequently, all participants in this processneed to be educated. The BIM association Slovakia (BIMAS), one of its founding members is HESCON s.r.o. headed by Ing. Erik Hrnčiar, is trying to do it in Slovakia.


The concept of BIM started to echo with HESCON already in 2012. The next step was a creation of a long-term BIM strategy within the company. The HESCON has been cooperating with asoftware companyAllplan – Nemetschek from the beginning of implementation as well. Currently, HESCON is creating its own standards that will make the work in BIM even more efficient. Our vision for the future is to take full advantage of the BIM potential in all project processes, which will be beneficial for all involved partners.
